1912 Sterling No. 2
3536

The Sterling typewriter was a short-lived machine derived from earlier designs by Charles J. Paulson, representing one of the final iterations of the Eagle/Defi lineage. Marketed as a low-cost alternative, it featured an unconventional mechanism and outdated design that struggled to compete in a rapidly evolving typewriter market. This is one of about a dozen known Sterling 2 survivors.
